Needless to say, we got really excited when we heard that the theme for this year’s WordCamp Europe after party is “retro-futurism“.

The American Chopper meme is so popular these days that it was only a matter of time before WordPressers got in on it.

The GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, is coming May 25th. It’s similar to the European Cookie Law, but a lot more strict and specific on what data sites can collect from users. In spite of many recent news stories about big companies mining our data, I still find myself oddly dreading designing a site post-GDPR. We wrote about the GDPR in more detail here.

It seems like it was only yesterday that the WC3 announced that 26% of all websites were powered by WordPress. That number has recently gone up to 30%, so we decided to find out what the rest of the internet is made of.

Of course everybody is talking about this year’s Plugin Madness competition, which kicks off on Monday March 5th, but the big question is: What WordCamp swag will the nominees be wearing as they walk the red carpet?  

While most folks are getting set up for Super Bowl Sunday, I’m getting ready for Monday’s WordPress 4.9.3 release.
