I realized as I was doing this post that we could litter this blog with a thousand-and-one blog posts about free themes every single day if we wanted to – and in some ways, I’d like to highlight well-done free themes, but there are so many so the #1 reason we don’t is that we simply don’t trust the source or developer (or we don’t know them personally).

(But don’t stop sharing them with us – we’ll always take a look!)

This one is by Konstantin Kovshenin who’s a very trustworthy source and someone that we really like – and he announced a free magazine theme based on the _s theme framework – so you know it’s got the goods:

It’s called Expound and was originally built for WP Magazine, a “little blog with a big goal to change the perception of WordPress in Russia.” as he shares.
